Scene 22 

Monica's room / friends are looking for monica's ring.

Joey : When did you have it on  last?

-> have on , put on (몸에 걸치거나 하는것 모두 put on) 

put on socks

put on earings

put on a hat

put on glasses

put on make up

put on perfume

put on a ring

-> last           : 마지막으로

 ex) When did you see him last?

When did you last see him?

When did you hear from her last?

When did you go there last?

When did you go with your girlfriend last?

When did you have an oil change last?

                          oil change : 엔진오일 교체

너 언제 마지막으로 거기갔었어? 라는 문장이 있으면 보통

When did you go there last? 라고 표현 하는데

갔었어라고 go를 사용하면 하수이다.

있었냐는 뜻의 be를 사용하라.

그래서 be를 사용할때 경험이라는 것이 생각이 나서

When have you been there last? (x) last는 과거빼곤, 같이 사용하지 않는다. 그러므로 정답은

When were you there last?

     at last      : 마침내

ex) at last, we won the game.

마침내, 결국에

at last, I changed my mind.

     at least    : 적어도

Rachel : I had it this morning, and I know I had it when i was in the kitchen with....    

in the morning             vs         this morning

-> 일상(반)적인아침                  -> 그냥 보통              

ex) I have to eat breakfast in the morning.

Monica : You didn't

Rachel : Don't be mad, oh. I'm sorry

(= 화내지마) 

Monica : I gave you one job!

Rachel : Oh, but look . How straight those noodles are.

Monica : I just can't do it.

Chandler : Boys? We're looking for it!

  = 얘들아. ( 소년 소녀 상관없이 사용함)

이것만은 꼭!

we're looking for it.

1. 현재진행형 => 우리가 그거 찾고있는 중이다.?

2. (be + ing) 가까운 미래 -> 얘들아 우리가 그거 찾자.

ex) He's leaving London tomorrow.

-> 그는 내일 런던 떠날꺼야.!

왕초보 실력 안들키게 발음하기

1.How straight those noodles are.

=쭉뻗은

=> T와 TH가 충돌할때 앞의 알파벳은 생략해서 발음한다.

2. I just can't do it.

=> s 뒤에 오는 t는 생략 , Can't는 강하게 발음 해 준다.

기초영어회화 패턴

I'm looking for ~ : 나는 ~를 찾고 있어

look for    : 찾다?

find         : 찾다?      but 같은 다른의미를 가지고있다.

-->>

look for = 찾아 다니다

find      = 찾아내다 (결과적으로)

I looked for my car key : 내 키를 찾아 다녔다.

I found my car key : 내 키를 찾았다.

I'm looking for something else

I'm looking for gas station.

I'm looking for the ladies' room

I'm looking for a part time job.    

I'm looking for a permanent job.

(=full time job)
